GODLY PLAY
Once a month at Nether Green we offer a Godly Play session for school age children. The session begins with the telling of a carefully scripted bible story, accompanied by models / figures specific to that story. We follow this with a time of reflection using “I wonder” questions e.g. “I wonder what was the most important part of the story?” “I wonder if we could take part of the story away and still have all the story we need?” Reflection then continues using art materials such as clay, paint, plasticine, cloth, or wood and the session finishes with a “feast” (usually a home-baked cake or biscuit and a drink.)
